Internal Medicine, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine

Visiting Research Scholar

I received my Bachelor of Clinical Medicine (five-year program) in China and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in cardiovascular medicine at the Guangdong Cardiovascular Institute. During my medical training, I developed a strong interest in the biological mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease, which inspired me to pursue a career as a physician-scientist. I am currently a visiting scholar in Dr. Wei Huang’s laboratory, where I use transcriptomic and bioinformatics approaches to identify key regulatory networks and intercellular signaling pathways that contribute to heart failure pathogenesis, including both heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). My previous research focused on the role of long non-coding RNAs in vascular calcification and vascular aging. In the future, I plan to pursue a PhD to further my training as a physician-scientist and deepen my understanding of the molecular mechanisms driving cardiovascular disease progression.
